St Annes By The Sea

Our recent trip saw us venture to the west coast of England to a wonderful coastal spot called St Annes By The Sea. St Annes is on the Flyde coast and is a short car journey from Blackpool.

It was our first trip as a family since welcoming our 4 month old son Oscar in to the world. We were very excited about getting away and spending a few days by the coast. Of course it would be rude not to try and do some cheeky photography whilst I was there!

THE APARTMENT

We arrived at our accommodation. St Annes Beach Apartments. https://www.stannesbeachhuts.co.uk . There are 15 apartments available all with a coastal themed name

The entrance to the beach apartments

We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment which slept 6 (including a sofa bed). The beach was a short 30 second walk from the apartment and the town centre/pier were a pleasant 5/10 minute stroll.

On arrival we were greeted by our host (Zoe) who was extremely friendly and kind and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment (named ‘The Sunset Apartment’).

We all fell in love with the accommodation from the moment we stepped in and were instantly drawn to the sea view from both the living area and bedroom windows.

The view from the bedroom balcony

A sunset I captured from the master bedroom balcony! What a view!

For those who are unaware my son has a superpower that is a highly tuned treat radar. He had spotted a lovely gift left for us in the kitchen. I’ve got to say they were absolutely delicious. I really should have shared them with the family haha.

The apartment was very spacious with a lovely modern decor. My 5 year old son Jack couldn’t stop running around and was very excited to show us all the other rooms. The hosts have really paid attention to detail, decorating the apartment with quirky quotes and accessories which really brightened the mood and reminded us why we were there! (to relax and have fun at the beach)

Yes Please

I definitely got sandy toes but I couldn’t possibly comment on the salty kisses!

The apartment was super clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay (wifi, smart tv/washer/dryer/dishwasher oven/ironing board etc).

The apartment was child friendly with lots of games, jigsaws and a giant naughts and crosses game which my son absolutely loved. I can’t say I was happy about losing 10-0 but I got my own back by eating all the cakes. So who is the real winner ?

BEACH AND SURROUND AREA

The beach and surrounding areas are beautiful. The old pier, the new pier and the town centre had lots to offer. There were lots of attractions for the kids including a splash park, train ride, bouncy castles, arcade and park.

Here are a few of the photographs I snapped on my stay.

Take a seat and enjoy the view

BEACH HUTS

The wonderful beach huts with a large decking area outside.

I cannot recommend St Annes beach apartments enough. It was the ideal accomodation for a getaway and was perfect for recharging the batteries. The hosts Stuart and Zoe were always helpful with our requests and we can’t wait to go back and explore more of St Annes and the surround areas.
